I've been adopted!
About me
Personality: Orville is a spunky, social, older gentleman who is happy to greet everyone with a big smile and a tail wag. He is always ready for a short power walk or some exploration time in a yard. After that, he is happy to lounge by your side or soak up some sun. Orville is an affectionate, calm, sweet little boy who loves everyone and enjoys the finer things in life. I am sponsored by Kirthana Prabhakar!

History: Orville came to us as a stray.

Dog Skills: Orville enjoys the company of other calm dogs. He will politely greet calm dogs with a happy, wagging tail, and prefers to move away from the more forward, rowdy dogs.

Cat Skills: We do not have a history of Orville around cats.

Leash Skills: Orville walks politely on leash.

Medical: Orville had a dental cleaning recently at HSSV. At that time all the teeth were cleaned and were evaluated for fractures, and periodontal disease. Teeth that were determined to be unhealthy were removed. Dental care is an on-going process that will need to be addressed for the life of this patient.

Orville has two collapsed disc spaces in his spine. He does not seem painful and no treatment is recommended. We recommend that he be handled carefully to prevent future incidents of spinal injury. He should not be allowed to jump on or off furniture and stairs should be discouraged.

This dog has mature cataracts in both eyes. Orville's cataracts are large enough to involve the entire lens and are likely to affect his vision somewhat at this point and may get worse over time. While Orville does seem to have some vision at this time blind dogs lead very fulfilling family lives.

$80 of my adoption fee has been sponsored by the Mack Family!
