Don't you feel the need to have a gorgeous friendly feline by your side? I should be the one! I love watching the outside through a window and relaxing in a sunny spot. I also enjoy head rubs and spending time around my human. I'm a relaxed kitty, just looking for a spot to call my own.

Piper has been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus (DM). Just like people with type 1 diabetes, her pancreas is not producing enough insulin. When her blood sugar is high, she may drink a lot and urinate a lot and can lose weight.

When her sugars are low, she runs the risk of becoming weak and lethargic. Her disease is currently controlled with injectable insulin and special diet. It will be critically important that the adopting family develop a relationship with a veterinarian familiar with treating DM in cats. In most cases, this is a life long disease that will need routine care and monitoring.
