What should your foster's bio say? Hi, my name is Hamilton, and I'm a solid black kitten with the softest fur you've ever felt. Plush is a good word for me. I didn't know anything about people when I started out, so I was very scared. My best buddy and playmate Angelica helped show me that people are good companions and I've become much braver. But I can still retreat if you reach for me too fast. Going into a home by myself is a little scary, so please consider adopting us together, and you'll get double the joy for you and for us.
How does your cat react when being held? How does your cat feel about being picked up? If he's calm and you move slowly to pick him up, he's happy being held and will start purring. He'll stay in your arms as long as you want. But if you reach for him too fast, he will get spooked and run away.
How do they play with you? He loves chasing balls and running through tunnels. He's able to drag a wand toy around on his own and carry small toys. My favorite play time is being with my play mate Angelica, tussling with each other or chasing the same ball around the room.
What is their behavior like with new people and/or children? : He does not like new people. If I try to hand him over to someone he doesn't know, he'll struggle to get away. This could improve with gentle handling as he gets older.
What is their behavior like with other animals? He pretty much ignores my adult cats. If they're on the bed or chair he just got up on, he'll do a quick sniff, then settle down a short distance away.
What kind of litter box setup did you have for your cat? How would you describe their success using the litter box? I have an uncovered medium size litter box that he shares with his fellow foster Angelica. He has never had any accidents.
Is there anything else that you would like the new adopter to know about this cat, such as any special tricks or adorable traits? I really hope he and Angelica can get adopted together. He's so sweet and has such a wonderful purr.
