I've been adopted!
About me
Hi, I'm Jean! I'm a little playful, but I've recently been exhausted taking care of a litter of five kittens, so I'm not sure how much energy I'll have once I figure out the new normal. I do love people though -- I'll walk up and rub against legs for attention, and I absolutely love pets, especially having the side of my head brushed back. I may even lean in and purr when my neck's getting scratched. I'd love to find a home where I can relax and live a calm life!

How does your cat react when being held? How does your cat feel about being picked up?
I'm happy to be picked up, although I don't like sitting in laps for too long. I prefer being on a cat tree or the floor.

How do they play with you?
I've occasionally swiped at a toy, but I haven't been too energetic. I have had my litter of five kittens to take care of, and that's really been exhausting. I may have more energy when they've found homes of their own and I'm able to recover -- it's just hard to say right now.

What is their behavior like with new people and/or children? :
I haven't had too many chances to meet new people, but I've been friendly when people come by. I'm a little more cautious, but willing to accept some attention.

What is their behavior like with other animals?
I've been guarding my kittens against my foster family's cats. I tell them to keep their distance, but I've gotten used to seeing them around. I may get more friendly with time and when I don't need to protect my litter.

What kind of litter box setup did you have for your cat? How would you describe their success using the litter box?
I've been using the humane society's non-clumping clay litter cleanly. I'm not too familiar with other litters, but would be happy to try them out.

Is there anything else that you would like the new adopter to know about this cat, such as any special tricks or adorable traits?
I'm not too chatty, but I'll occasionally meow a little when I'm curious or want attention.
