Hi there! Or as I like to say "hiss!"
I'm Sophia and I'm a lovely and sweet young gal who just recently popped out a few babies (babies not included). I've been growing more and more comfortable with my foster parents but I still greet them the same way I probably just did to you, "hiss". The moment my foster parents come into the room, I gently tell them hello with a soft hiss or two, then I immediately approach them for pets and chin/face scratches. If you are comfortable with giving me some patience, a little bit of breathing room, and plenty of pets/scratches - I will love you forever.
Sophia has had few brief encounters with the resident cats and was ok with them. She was protective of her kittens, but her overall response was positive.
Sophia is a little weary of new people, but gentle introductions with soft voices and an offer of scritches goes a long way. She good at giving cues that she's getting overstimulated, letting you know it's time to give her a little room. She's usually right back for more after a few moments.
