Personality: Kate is a timid girl when meeting new people and in new places. She may tuck her tail, move away, and try to hide. Once she is comfortable and settles in, she becomes a wiggly, bouncy girl that is happy to greet you with lots of kisses. Kate will follow people around once she knows them and enjoys being close after she has run some zoomies, of course. Kate would do best in a low key, adult household that can give her space and time to adjust.
History: Kate came to us from another shelter. She was briefly adopted but was uncomfortable around the children in the home.
Dog Skills: Kate participates in our small dog playgroups. She can be nervous with forward or rowdy dogs and does best with calm confident dogs who allow her to approach them. Once she is comfortable, Kate becomes very social and will engage other calm, social dogs in play. Kate is currently cohoused with another dog to help boost her confidence.
Cat Skills: We do not have a history of Kate being around cats.
Leash Skills: Kate sometimes stalls when on leash, she will walk if given treats or happy talk. Kate will model the behavior of another confident canine and will happily follow another dog on leash.
