Marco has been adopted!

Personality: Marco is a lovely boy who loves going for hikes, runs, and walks. He would benefit from training classes as he is still learning some manners. He has been nervous when left alone in his room at the shelter so we recommend some leave alone training to help him get comfortable in a home.

History: He came to us from another shelter.

Dog/Cat Skills: Marco is forward in greeting but has a loose, relaxed body. He's done well in our large dog playgroups.

Leash Skills: He is very strong and does pull on leash so we recommend the use
of a harness.

Medical: This dog had his L rear dewclaw removed at HSSV on November 25. He removed his sutures, we are not sure how either by playing or licking, and how he has an open wound at the surgery site. For now, we are letting the wound heal and we are allowing it to continue to scar in. The healing process may take a few weeks. Once the wound has healed, no further treatment is anticipated. If he is adopted during the healing process, the adopting family is advised to keep the wound clean with water only and to have it monitored by their family veterinarian.
