Personality: Ivy is a sweet, timid girl that seeks out a lap to snuggle up on as soon as she is comfortable. She can be nervous around new people and places, and may try to move away at first. She warms ups with time and a quiet slow approach. In a quiet home with time to adjust, Ivy will eagerly greet people with a tail wag and wiggles. Once she is comfortable, she is a wonderful companion who loves to be by her person's side and will follow you around. She would do best in an adult household with experience helping shy dogs gain confidence.
History: Ivy came to us as a stray.
Dog/Cat Skills: Ivy can be initially tentative and easily overwhelmed by dogs. She will move away with a tucked tail. With time and space to move around, she will warm up with calm, polite dogs. Ivy will benefit from some confidence building with dogs and may do well with a calm, confident canine role model in her future home.
Leash Skills: Ivy needs encouragement to walk on a leash. She does best when encouraged with happy talk or treats, and is given time.
