Personality: Taquito is a timid, affectionate dog that needs some time to settle in when he's around new people and places. Once he is comfortable, he will happily approach and solicit snuggles. When transitioning, Taquito does best with space and time to adjust before being handled. If uncomfortable, he will give clear warning signs that he wants to move away. In a quiet, experienced home with time to adjust and a confident dog role model, Taquito will seek out his people and show his playful self. He would do best in an adult household with experience helping shy dogs gain confidence.
History: Taquito came to us as from the central valley.
Dog/Cat Skills: Taquito is currently cohoused and participates in small dog playgroup. He is calm and social. Taquito will strongly benefit from some confidence building with dogs and may do well with a calm, confident canine role model in his future home.
Leash Skills: Taquito can be tentative getting leashed by new people, but does better with a slow, calm approach and time to warm up. He will walk on leash when comfortable. He will greatly benefit from having access to an enclosed yard while he is transitioning, and he will follow a confident dog on leash.
