About me
Personality: Huxley is a very shy boy looking for an experienced home with a confident canine where he can learn to trust humans. He is very sensitive to handling of his body beyond his head and ears. Huxley would highly benefit from going home with someone that can work with him on desensitization to gradually get more comfortable with handling and human touch. Once comfortable Huxley is a loving, adventurous, and energetic boy that shows typical Border Collie traits such as high energy and nipping in play. Huxley LOVES other dogs. They are his security blanket and the least stressful way for him to get comfortable around humans is when another confident and friendly dog is around. He approaches people and allows light petting if another dog is next to a human getting attention. Therefore, Huxley is REQUIRED to go home with a large confident canine companion (dog-to-dog meet is recommended prior to adoption).
Sponsorships: Huxley comes with a post adoption training scholarship from the Pedagree Foundation. The scholarship is good for a complimentary training session with a certified dog trainer. Huxley's care has been generously sponsored by Howard Nguyen and Jordan Stitzel History: Huxley was transferred to us from our partner shelter in Central Valley. Dog skills: Huxley LOVES the company of other dogs! He likes to go for walks with his dog friends as well as run and play with them off leash. He would greatly benefit from having another dog in his home which is why he must go home with a canine friend, so if you already have a dog who's looking for some company, Huxley may be just the dog for you! Huxley is part of our Diamond in the Ruff program and please Fill out the form to request an appointment ![]() Questions about adopting?
