About me
Personality: Zola is a sweet, sweet girl who is learning that this world isn't such a scary place as it first seemed. In our care Zola has been slowly building her confidence and she is looking for a home that will help her to continue that and grow into a confident girl. Zola feels most comfortable in low key environment so an adult household with free access to an enclosed yard is a must. Being able to go in a yard will help her with potty training as well as building her leash confidence. Zola also is required to go home with another polite but playful dog. She enjoys running around a yard and play with plush toys.
Zola's post-adoption scholarship is sponsored by Pedigree Foundation. History: Zola came to us from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was very shut down and shy when she arrived but with time and work from our HSSV team she is blossoming to be a fun, sweet girl. Dog Skills: Zola LOVES other dogs! She wants to play with every small dog she meets and she is more comfortable around people when one of her dog friends are around. For this reason Zola is required to go home with another dog that is polite but playful and will teach Zola to be confident. She has shown to be fearful of dogs that are exuberant with energy and are bigger than her. Therefore she would do best with a dog that is about her size (35lbs) or smaller. Currently her best friend is a 16lb Chi/Terrier mix. Leash Skills: Zola isn't used to being on leash and we are still working on getting her more comfortable with getting the leash put on. Once on leash though she enjoys walks in quiet areas but will get scared around loud noises and fast movements. Zola is part of our Diamond in the Ruff program and needs a special appointment to be seen. Ready to meet Zola? Fill out the form to request an appointment ![]() Questions about adopting?
