I've been adopted!
About me
Andrew Greeley once said that "We're given second chances everyday of our life. We don't usually take them, but they're there for the taking". Thanks to a wonderful medical team and the love from her foster parents, Star took that second chance she was given and thrived.

An infection from a foxtail tail in Star's spine reduced her ability to walk and caused a great deal of pain. Thankfully, medication was able to treat the infection, and Star became a miracle dog and regained her mobility and her pain was eased. Star also turned into a lapdog.

Star is an affectionate, joyful dog whom her foster family cherishes. She loves belly rubs, chasing her favorite toys, soaking up the sunshine in her backyard, and gets the occasional zoomies. She's even potty trained and can use the doggy door to take herself outside!

Due to the severity of Star's infection, it is recommended that she remain on antibiotics and pain medication for up to a year which HSSV will supply at no cost to the adopter. At the end of the year HSSV will also arrange for Star's x-rays to see if there is any further infection.
We are excited for Star's next chapter and can't wait to see the light she will bring to her family.
