Ruby has been adopted!

Personality: Ruby is a very sweet girl looking for a loving home. She needs a little bit of time to get used to new people but once she is familiar with you Elka will greet everyone she knows with a wagging tail. Ruby loves to go on long walks where she can take in all the sights and smells. When she sees a stranger approach, she needs some assurance that there is nothing to be worried about and she will happily follow along her person. In her previous home Ruby did well with kids and would occasionally go to a dog park during the less busy hours.

History: Ruby was surrendered to us due to unfortunate circumstances in her previous owners life. She has lived with the same person all her life so adjusting to shelter wasn't easy but she is making progress every day and Ruby is gaining new friends and admirers as often as possible.

Dog Skills: Ruby has met several male dogs and as long as she is allowed to approach them right away for a polite "hello" sniff she does great. Once Ruby is familiar with the dog she enjoys their company and likes to go on long walks together. Per her previous owner she prefers male dogs over females.

Cat Skills: Even though Ruby lived with two cats in her previous home, cats and her grew up together. When Ruby sees cats on walk she wants to chase them. A home without cats is recommended.

Leash Skills: Ruby walks well on leash. She enjoys long walks where she is allowed to take in all the sights and smells along the way.
