About me
Melanie is the lady of the house and very talkative. She is on high alert, wanting to protect you inside and outside the house. Melanie is affectionate and enjoys having her human friends close by her - when left alone in her crate, she will cry for about 20 minutes until she falls asleep. She really enjoys her naps and can be found in many odd positions - paws up in the air, sprawled on the floor, back bend over the bolster bed. During her high energy phases, she curiously explores the world with her mouth or unleashes zoomies around the house. After releasing her energy, she is quick to rest and recharge for her next play session.
Melanie lived with a 5-year old, female resident dog for 1.5 weeks. As expected with a puppy, she is very curious and gets in the resident dog's space immediately, pawing at the face and jumping on top - all in friendly fun. Melanie can be shy and vocal when meeting new people, but give her the chance to warm up to you, and you'll have the most snuggliest lap dog in the world. Melanie's eyes light up when playing fetch with tennis balls or squeaky balls. She is extremely focused when chasing after the balls, bouncing up and down so enthusiastically that one of her ears always ends up flipped. She also loves digging up rocks in the backyard and playing her own game with them. Melanie loves ending the day with cuddle sessions. She'll usually begin by resting her head on your leg, but somehow always manages to end up laying on top of you! If you would like to meet me, schedule an appointment! Questions about adopting?
