Personality: Betty is still learning the world is not a big scary place. She takes time to warm up to new people and is nervous in new environments. Once she learns to trust someone she may approach slowly and give licks and takes treats but it will be a long journey to build her confidence. She would do best in a home with another polite confident dog who she can learn from
History: Betty came in with Bobby, another adult dog we believe to be her son from another shelter.
Dog Skills: Betty came in very attached to Bobby. She initially was very sensitive around new dogs and was protective of her possible son Bobby. When separate from Bobby she has been able to meet polite canines without issue successfully and would highly benefit from going home with another dog with a slow introduction.
Cats Skills: Betty will chase cats!
Leash Skills: Betty needs to build a relationship with someone before she feels comfortable being leashed by them. She enjoys walking but still learning to be confident in new surroundings.
Medical: Overweight, poor enamel quality on teeth, canine heart murmur.
