About me
Personality: Jack is a happy, social, playful teen looking for an experienced adult home. He is a smart dog willing to work for food and toys, especially plush squeaky ones! Jack is very energetic and would make an excellent running or hiking partner. With his energy, he would benefit from plenty of physical and mental exercise along with continued basic training as he likes to keep busy. He already knows sit and responds to his name! He also sleeps in a crate at night. Jack can be jumpy and excited when meeting new people and may try to herd you a little in play, so it's good to reward him for calm behavior. He is required to go to an adult, low key home that has experience with herding traits where he can be given lots of outlets for his energy.

History: Jack has lived in an active home with children and senior citizens but showed to be too energetic for them, and displayed discomfort around the youngest child. He has shown to do best with experienced adults in a low key environment who can provide plenty of exercise outlets and training. He attended doggy daycare in the past with no issues observed.

Dog/Cat Skills: Jack is social with other dogs and enjoys engaging dogs in play, especially chase. He can be initially overwhelmed with more forward behavior, but with polite dogs who allow him time to warm up, he relaxes and plays. He participates in playgroup and enjoys chase and wrestle play to help burn his energy. He will greatly benefit from another playful dog in the home. No known history with cats, but adopters should be educated on breed tendencies.

Leash Skills: Jack pulls while walking on a leash and may grab at the leash. He would benefit from the use of a front clipping harness.
