Personality: Jonah is incredibly sweet and gentle. He can be a little nervous at times but is very trainable. He can sit on command. At first, he was terrified of riding the elevator, but after a few days of treats and patience, he now rides the elevator with no issues. He sometimes pees a small amount when scared, but otherwise is perfectly house-trained.
History: Jonah lived in a foster home with three adults and no children or other animals.
Dog Skills: We don't have other dogs in our apartment, but Jonah is eager to greet other dogs while walking.
Cat Skills: Jonah hasn't been around small animals.
Leash Skills: Jonah loves going on long walks! He's full of energy and still pulls on the leash and tries to dash about in different directions.
Medical: Jonah had a surgical procedure called a femoral head and neck ostectomy performed on his right hip on 10/8/20 due to a painful disease of the hip joint. This leg should be used nearly normally after a couple of months. If adopted prior to his full recovery, he will require physical therapy exercises until he is using his rear limb normally at a run. It will be the adopter's responsibility to perform these prescribed exercises until he is fully recovered. While we expect good to excellent return of rear limb function, it is possible that he may always have a mild limp.
