What's everyone's favorite candy in their Halloween bucket, or holiday stocking?
Reese's, of course!
That irresistible combination of salty and sweet exists in this adoptable canine as well.
Reese came to our shelter through one of our rescue partners. When he arrived in our care, he was too fearful to be touched or even walk on leash. With time, patience, and a whole lot of chicken treats, Reese started to come out of his shell to explore his new surroundings and build relationships with his caregivers. Since being placed in a foster home with confident canine friends, he has really allowed his sweet side to show.
Reese draws so much confidence from his doggy foster sisters, we're requiring that he be adopted to another family who already has a dog or two to show him the ropes. Do your dogs need a new sibling? If so, Reese might be the perfect addition.
He is playful with the other dogs, but respectful of their corrections if they aren't feeling up to playing. He follows them around, and even learned to walk on leash by following them out of the house!
He gets excited whenever they do, which has encouraged a lot more interaction with humans, and even cuddles on the couch.
He'll need time to warm up to any new environment or new family members, but his experience in foster shows that with enough patience and peanut butter, he can become a loving companion to both you and your dogs.
