Animal's Name: Blake
Animal ID Number: 189892
What should your foster animal's bio say? My name is Blake. I'm a sweet black panther. I can be shy when meeting new people but with tender loving care, I am sure I will grow up to be an affectionate, loving kitten. I love head and body rubs and you will hear my soft purr if you listen closely. I love rough and tumble play with my two brothers.
How does your cat react when being held? How does your cat feel about being picked up? If approached slowly and if he is in the right mood, he is easy to hold especially if giving treats, baby food, and or chin/body rubs all the while purring softly. Once you stop, he is eager to get down and play.
How do they play with you? He hides at first then will slowly come for a treat or toy. He loves to play with balls, feathers, and run through the tunnel chasing a toy or wrestling with one of his brothers. He loves catching the wand toy and trying to drag it away.
What is their behavior like with new people and/or children? : He has only met my husband and me. He is skittish at first but will come to you for treats or baby food. When they are all gone he will crawl all over you looking for more. He can also be lured out of hiding by toys. He will need a slow transition into a new home.
What is their behavior like with other animals? He has only seen my dog at a distance and did not seem to mind. He met my two 1 yo cats. If they hiss and swat at him he will arch his back but if they are calm he will continue to play and explore.
What kind of litter box setup did you have for your cat? How would you describe their success using the litter box? A regular size litter box with non clumping clay litter. He was very good at using the litter box with no accidents.
Is there anything else that you would like the new adopter to know about this cat, such as any special tricks or adorable traits? Blake is a gentle kitten who can be shy when meeting new people. It will best to give him enough transition time in a safe place to get to know his new family.
