Personality: Jax is a Husky for true Husky-lovers. He loves to meet new people and will lean in for pets and scratches. He has an adorable Husky voice and does the "woo-woo" sounds typical of a Husky, but is not overly vocal for a typical Husky. Jax is treat-motivated and already knows "sit". He loves food a lot, especially the tastiest treats, and does not like his favorite food being taken from him unless it is exchanged with something better. Typical of a Husky, Jax has a lot of energy and thrives with daily exercise and mental enrichment. He can be sensitive with more invasive handling such as medical exams and nail trims, and in the past, was muzzled for nail trims.
History: Jax came to us from a previous owner.
Dog skills: Jax plays nicely with other dogs, and gives appropriate corrections to dogs who are too rude or forward with him. When not in the mood to play, Jax is comfortable co-existing peacefully with other dogs.
Cat skills: We do not have a history of Jax with cats.
Leash skills: Jax is sensitive about having a harness put on him/taken off him. Because of this sensitivity, he has been walked on a collar and leash. Jax pulls at the beginning of a walk, but responds well to loose-leash training exercises and will settle in and walk on a loose leash after a few minutes of practice.
