Personality: Dinah is a sweet calm cat that is looking for a home that enjoys the finer things in life. She loves to snuggle into a soft blanket and take cat naps. She loves food and will follow you around and beg for more! She likes being near her people and enjoys napping nearby while her foster is working or hanging out at home. Dinah occasionally will pounce on stuffed mice or bat at a cat wand or rope. She sometimes likes to groom her yarn toys. Dinah can get too excited if being pet for too long so we recommend giving her breaks. Her fur will stand on end and she will swat or nip at you to tell you when she's had enough petting.
History: Dinah lived in a foster home with a 9-year-old and 13-year-old and did well. However, she is not recommended to go home with young children due to her tendency to nip when she's had enough petting.
Dog/Cat Skills: We have not had Dinah around cats or dogs while in our care.
Medical: This cat had a surgical procedure called a femoral head and neck ostectomy performed on 8/26/20 on her right hip due to a severe fracture of the hip joint. It is possible that she may always have a slightly abnormal gait in her right rear limb. However, this is no longer causing any pain and she is not on any medications at this time.
