About me
Personality: Beena is a fun, energetic girl who loves play time with toys, other dogs, and lap cuddling equally! She can be little shy with new people initially, but does warm up quickly. She enjoys going on walks in ideally in a quiet neighborhood as well as running around in an enclosed yard or park, followed by cuddle and lap time. She will even do zoomies when she is very happy and excited! She would love to find a quiet home where she can continue building her confidence around new people, in new places and when on leash. We think she may be a be part Besenji!

Post-adoption scholarship sponsored by Pedigree Foundation.

History: Beena came to us from a shelter in Central Valley. She needed a surgery on her leg that our amazing medical team were able to perform and she is healing up very well.

Dog Skills: Beena enjoys hanging out with other dogs her size. She has participated in playgroups at HSSV and she will solicit play from other friendly and playful, tolerant canines. She would benefit to go home with a small to medium breed, confident canine companion that can help her build confidence and learn about all the great things life in Bay Area has to offer.

Cat Skills: We have no history on Beena around cats.

Leash Skills: Beena is slowly building her confidence on leash. She can get frightened around loud noises and would benefit from large yard, quiet neighborhood or nearby low key park where she can start building her confidence when on leash.

Medical: Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy (FHO). This dog had a surgical procedure called a femoral head and neck ostectomy performed on her right hip on 10/2/21 due to a painful fracture of the hip joint. This surgery is commonly referred to as an FHO. This leg should be used nearly normally after a couple of months. While we expect good to excellent return of rear limb function, it is possible that she may always have a mild limp.

Beena is part of our Diamond in the Ruff program and needs a special appointment to be seen. Ready to meet Beena? Fill out the form to request an appointment
