About me
Lou Grant is part of the Betty White Challenge. His adoption fees are waived!
Lou Grant is a sweet big boy who can be shy when meeting new people. But he does seek attention as he becomes more comfortable in his environment. He enjoys being pet and will lean in for more pets when he is comfortable. He enjoys having the back scratcher as an extra petting session. He also will let you know when he has had enough and will walk away when he is ready for some "alone time". He loves playing with wand toys AND laser pointers but may need time to get to know someone new before he shows you his playing skills. We highly recommend a slow transition into a new home to set him up for success! My care has been sponsored by Kitoye Igoni and Sandi Peregrina! History: Surrendered to HSSV Cat/Dog Skills: No history of living with other animals Medical: Lou Grant has been diagnosed with periodontal disease (also known as gum disease or dental disease). This disease is extremely common in dogs and cats, especially as they age. Lou Grant had a dental cleaning recently at HSSV. Lou Grant is also overweight. Weight loss will significantly improve his/her quality of life and general health. Your veterinarian can advise you regarding a target weight, recommended food and a regular feeding regimen for this pet. Lou Grant is part of our Diamond in the Ruff program and must be introduced by staff. Come on down to the shelter to meet him, or complete an application to schedule an appointment!
