I am a smart, friendly, curious girl who loves to cuddle and explore. My foster family called me "Gizmo" after the Mogwai in Gremlins who looks just like me.
What did you implement for house training? Do you think it's working? Gizmo and her brother (housed together in a big pen with puppy pads in one corner) were let out every 2-3 hours during the day (especially right after they played heavily and/or drank a bunch of water). They very quickly learned where to go outside. Some nights they were accident free and some nights they used the pads.
How many hours did you leave them home alone? What was their behavior like when left alone? She was alone (with her brother) in an exercise pen at night (in the living room). They'd both cry a bit at bedtime, but not too long. They were quiet all night but always very happy/excited to see us and our dog the next morning.
What is their behavior like with other animals?
Very playful with her littermate (brother) and our high energy cattledog/husky mix. Her tail was always wagging and she could hold her own against her similarly sized brother and our approx 2x her size dog. She liked to follow our dog around and whatever he was doing she wanted to do, too. She routinely wanted to cuddle next to him and kiss his face.We took all three of them on multiple walks and they all did very well together. She often wanted to "lead" the other two. She was good at noticing stray cats lurking under cars and was curious about them / wanted to chase them.
What is their behavior like with new people and/or children? : Very affectionate to people - likes to climb into your lap and cuddle.
Is there anything else that you would like the new adopter to know about this dog, such as any special tricks or adorable traits? We started teaching her "sit" and to sit politely for us to open doors, the pen, etc. She is very smart and treat motivated.
