Hi, I'm Perona! I'm a shy girl who has so much love to give. Even though it takes me a few minutes to warm up to people, I really enjoy the company of my human friends. I like to stick close to my people and get all the snuggles. I'm also very food motivated, so yummy treats are the way to my heart. I know how to sit, come, (lay) down, and (get) off. I enjoy a good game of tug with a toy. I know that when my humans are eating at the table that I should not ask for a bite.

On daily walks with my foster parents, I'm learning to slow down and "stay" at the corner until I'm told it's safe to "cross" the street. I like meeting other dogs during our walks. I'd chase the birds, squirrels, and cats if I was allowed. Even though I am not a huge fan of the rain, despite my foster mom trying a rain coat on me, I still enjoy going for my morning and evening potty walks.

Since I'm still learning to be confident, I would love a patient family who will show me that I'm loved as much as I will love them. I'd prefer to be the only pet in the home getting spoiled with your love and treats.
